The light of wisdom and the guidance of friends.

“In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, for it is in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.”

celebrating friendship The glowing and growing of friendship.

I am truly overwhelmed by your comments on my ‘Stormy Weather’ post. For your thoughtful, gentle, warm, tender and generous words, I thank you all for lifting my heart and making my spirit soar. Each and every word you wrote is a treasure and will be kept close to me - and to my family - forever.  I wish I had a deeper wisdom to enable me to express exactly how enormously meaningful your messages are for me and how they have made a space in my heart that will forever be filled by you - all of you.

I made this linocut to celebrate the many precious friendships I have made throughout my life; during the two years I've had my blog, and those I am still making through this amazing medium. I will write to each of you via your blogs because I would like to send this little gift to you in order to celebrate the links we have made - all of which have touched me to the very core of my being.

What a storm below! Stunning beyond belief.
I can understand your desire for order.
The woodcut is a delight and deeply meaningful. So sorry that I haven't written earlier --but loads of people in our little apartment.
I'm so sorry I didn't manage to get to you in May.
I will be in England again before too very long and will make visiting you a TOP priority.
Your blog continues both as a visual treat and as an inspiration..........

I didn't comment on the storm because I didn't know how to express how I'm feeling. I still don't. I don't really know you, but your posts have brought such a light to my life (even though I mostly lurk). So I'll just say thank you for that.

Look at you, with so much going on in your life and you are thinking about us doing what come naturally - loving you. Funny to think about loving someone I don't know, whose path I'd cross only by way of something like the blogosphere. Yet there you are touching my life and heart with your words, your stories, your delightful paintings.

May your days be full of the blessings that you have bestowed on others.

Dear Tessa,
It's Robin....your new friend from San Francisco. I was amazed to see your post today, because I posted on the same subject....the amazing people out in the "Blog World".
I am a "Baby Blogger" - only four months - but, the wonderful Renee was the moving spirit behind me starting to post.... and so I began. I am surprised and enchanted that the world is full of loving and giving people....like YOU!

This woodcut represents so accurately this new world....beautiful, powerful, thought provoking....

I have been reading some of your earlier posts....they are filled with adventure and such a joy for life... I hope you will NOT GIVE UP on this life you have....

I am keeping you deep in my heart and saying prayers for you.

Many hugs from,

♥ Robin ♥

Oh You lovely thing you- you just give and give and then when you are done you give some more! You are the very best sort of human on this planet- I saw a triple rainbow last night over the field , over the little herd of cows and babies- over the lily clogged pond - the wind was blowing, gently bending the trees in the same arc of the rainbows I was thinking of you when this all occurred and so THANK YOU! You are mighty!Just thinking of you brings about such incredible beauty! You're that way...
LOVE YOU!

This is beautiful and truly meaningful. I a curious, how do you make this?

My glorious angel of a friend described you aptly with these words: grace, serenity. I summed it up as truly classy.

Dear Tessa, whatever I do now, you are in my thoughts! I'm trying not to worry about you, because it'll be better to send you positive thoughts. I'm sure your loving family is around you... I was wondering how to encourage you on my turn and then I decided that Emily Dickinson may help. We have very good translations of her poems in Bulgarian, so I chose this one for you...

“Hope” is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I’ve heard it in the chillest land
And on the strangest sea,
Yet never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

Your linocut is BEAUTIFUL! So elegant and exquisite! And full of love... It's been created by your heart and soul. You are such a generous woman, I admire you! But, please, take care of yourself now!!

Hugs!! Rossichka xx

Tessa, I've never been her before I don't think, although we have so many friends in common.
But you joining BW promted me to make a visit.
I read your stormy weather and realised I should have come by sooner.
But it felt like I was just getting on an pinching other people's friend. I know that's batty, but.... I find it difficult to visit someone who has so many friends here as why would anyone want to bother with me. Not saying that for the sympathy vote,it's just left over stuff from my childhhood that blogging brings up for me.
I have loved your work from afar and know like me you have done things for Val's school.
Obviously I don't know what's going on with you other than the stuff I've just read, so don't want to get it wrong by being crass.
But just wanted you to know I've passed by your window here and am waving.

This lovely linocut is the true embodiment of your unselfish nature and giving spirit as are the beautiful words you wrote.

I have always gasped at your colorful drawings from your beloved Africa. And I have often wanted to take your words and claim I wrote them because they moved me that much.

You are grace personified.
I'm better for knowing even a tiny bit of you and I thank you for all that you have shared and continue to share. You make me stop and think about how I can become a better person.
And to echo sweet Lori, how can I help?

I'll continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers as well as your family who must be feeling a million different emotions.

Stay strong and true to yourself and don't forget to ask for help that is being offered should you need it ;)

xoxo
