Illustration Friday - Renewal

It is at the coast where horizons are infinite

and footprints few under a sky you can almost touch

that the sea, whatever its mood,

never fails to fill me with a sense of renewal.

norfolk coast - holkham

“When you do dance, I wish you a wave of the sea, that you might ever do nothing but that”

William Shakespeare - The Winter’s Tale

Happy TESSA! The sea can be a healing place- it can also render one unconscious, depending on the surf, as i found out one time in Hawaii...I hope that you are having a grand time and continue through the new year! Cheers to you!

I love that quotation even if Winter's Tale is not my favorite Shakespeare play. Your illustration is gorgeous and quite different than your normal style. Is this a new direction for the New Year? It's good to see you back at to blogging. I hope you are feeling much better. Happy New Year!
