I’m always in a state of hurry these days, it seems, so this is my hurried take on the Illustration Friday prompt. (Someone somewhere once said, ‘One of the great disadvantages of hurry is that it takes such a long time’. Too true!)
Kisses blown are kisses wasted.
Kisses aren't kisses unless they are tasted.
Kisses spread germs and germs are hated.
So kiss me baby; I'm vaccinated.

I love it, Tessa! Great drawing and wonderful interpretation of the theme... Hugs, Silke
P.S. Glad the egret print made it safely and that you like it! :-)
Wow Tessa, I love it - both the pictures and the clever words. Just today I heard from a coworker that he has the swine flu and his wife has moved him into the basement until he gets better - I guess no kisses for him :)
Love it! Wonderful words and image.
As for hurry taking a long time, that's a bit like "more haste, less speed", isn't it :-) x
Oh yes, I like this a lot. Final line is a killer (not literally).
Magical combination of words and picture, Tessa. Loved them both...
Hee,heee.
a beautiful hurry
great take on this… too many NASTIES out there!
Tessa: Sheer delight!!!
Just in time, what with all the flu epidemic and other woes in the air.
Wonderful!!
x Ribbon :)

Your hurry would be my days and days. And even then my efforts wouldn't equal your results.
holey moley tessa! in this case i am mesmerized by your rhyming poem. it is quite quite quite delightful. and clever. and helpful. i like those real touch kisses myself, the longer and sweeter, the better. :)
not to mention that i just posted about rhyming poems.
remember not to get carried away with the packing. baby steps are best.

I love your interpretation of "germs"!
I love the poetry. Also, a very wonderful drawing of blowing a kiss.
Love it and it is hillarious. You are so fun.

But where does one go about getting such pillow lips?
Awesome post, Tessa...truly. You are a woman of wit (and of course, amazing talent). I am amiss at visiting! I apologize!! I see that you were house hunting, too. I will keep my fingers crossed that things go the way you hope. : )
You words at my blog mean a lot to me...thank you for your generosity!! I really do appreciate it and it keeps me going. I'm so fortunate to have such lovely people as you stop by. Thank you, my friend!
Nice twist of the theme, very well drawn.

When you have a sec, stop by my place as I've left something for you there!
Lovely picture as always and fab words.
The husband and I both laughed out loud! That was funny! And the sketch is beeeuuutiful!
I love what you are planning for your funeral. Now instead of my plans I want to put on it 'Scrap what I have said and do exactly as Tessa is doing.'
Sounds beautiful dear friend. Beautiful.
We will meet again won't we sweet friend?
Love Renee xoxo

What fun! Good for you that even in a hurry you managed to find the time for this difficult theme - I'm still thinking about it! The rhyme is sweet!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love you all and I love all your comments, they truly make my days.
Oh, 'nother thing...that verse isn't mine! We used to chant it as giggly schoolgirls years ago.
Drawing good it is. Days at swamp, better this picture makes.
What fun!

Cute drawing and poem. I enjoyed that. I'm going to file it in my memory and recite it to my boyfriend. =P
Very clever combination between the words and the pictures.
Very lovely drawing too. I liked it very much. :)
Hahahahha1 This is so cute! I love the poem! Heheheh! I love the drawing but I hate body fluids!
Hello Tessa! I have returned! I have an award waiting for you.
When I think of your art, I think COLOUR! It's fun to see a line drawing up for a change. People are going crazy about swine flu in the USA too.
Brilliant picture and Brilliant poem!!
Makes me think of the Deacon Blue song 'I'll never fall in love again'. It has a fab lyric that goes
What do you get if you kiss a girl?
You get enough germs to catch pneumonia
After you do she'll never phone ya
I'll never fall in love again
Always made me giggle
C x
Tessa this is so lovely.
