Germs – Illustration Friday on Monday

I’m always in a state of hurry these days, it seems, so this is my hurried take on the Illustration Friday prompt.  (Someone somewhere once said, ‘One of the great disadvantages of hurry is that it takes such a long time’.  Too true!)

smooch 002

Kisses blown are kisses wasted.

Kisses aren't kisses unless they are tasted.

Kisses spread germs and germs are hated.

So kiss me baby; I'm vaccinated.

Wow Tessa, I love it - both the pictures and the clever words. Just today I heard from a coworker that he has the swine flu and his wife has moved him into the basement until he gets better - I guess no kisses for him :)

Love it! Wonderful words and image.
As for hurry taking a long time, that's a bit like "more haste, less speed", isn't it :-) x

Your hurry would be my days and days. And even then my efforts wouldn't equal your results.

holey moley tessa! in this case i am mesmerized by your rhyming poem. it is quite quite quite delightful. and clever. and helpful. i like those real touch kisses myself, the longer and sweeter, the better. :)

not to mention that i just posted about rhyming poems.

remember not to get carried away with the packing. baby steps are best.

Awesome post, Tessa...truly. You are a woman of wit (and of course, amazing talent). I am amiss at visiting! I apologize!! I see that you were house hunting, too. I will keep my fingers crossed that things go the way you hope. : )

I love what you are planning for your funeral. Now instead of my plans I want to put on it 'Scrap what I have said and do exactly as Tessa is doing.'

Sounds beautiful dear friend. Beautiful.

We will meet again won't we sweet friend?

Love Renee xoxo

When I think of your art, I think COLOUR! It's fun to see a line drawing up for a change. People are going crazy about swine flu in the USA too.

Brilliant picture and Brilliant poem!!

Makes me think of the Deacon Blue song 'I'll never fall in love again'. It has a fab lyric that goes

What do you get if you kiss a girl?
You get enough germs to catch pneumonia
After you do she'll never phone ya
I'll never fall in love again

Always made me giggle
